Wanderful CEO/Founder Mickey W. Mantle has more than 40 years of success in the software industry, beginning as a computer science graduate of the University of Utah (contemporary with the founders of Word Perfect, Silicon Graphics, Netscape, Adobe Systems and Pixar). He joined Pixar shortly after Steve Jobs purchased it in 1986.
In 1991, Mickey became VP of Engineering/Chief Technical Officer at Brøderbund Software and managed the vast development organization that produced numerous award-winning PC and Mac games such as Kid Pix, Myst and Living Books. In 1997, Mickey joined Gracenote as Senior VP of Development, managing all development, operations and professional services associated with the pioneering web-based music information service. He retired from Gracenote in 2011 to launch Wanderful and co-author Managing the Unmanageable: Rules, Tools, and Insights for Managing Software People and Teams with Ron Lichty, distilling their combined 70+ years of experience developing software and managing programmers.
